Novice Category: A Speaker is deemed novice if they meet all of the given criteria concurrently for tournaments that used English as the only language for speeches , i.e If you don't meet even any 1 of the 4 criteria, you are no longer eligible. 1. Not more than one instance of participating in an offline international tournament in English language as a debater or adjudicator. 2. Not more than one novice championship 3. No open championships 4. Not more than 5 instances of participating in an online tournament as a debater or adjudicator. 5. Less than 5 tournaments attended as a debater. Less than 8 tournaments attended as a judge P.S. The criteria is not differentiated on basis of education levels(Highschool, university etc) and applies to every participant in general. For example - in case of no. 4, If you participated in more than 5 online English debating tournaments in your debating career you are no longer a Novice.
